Join Save Our Swale for a creative workshop that uses stories of drought and water scarcity in the past to reflect on how we can prepare better for a drier future. Natalie Holloway, from the Centre for Water Cultures at Hull University will run the 1 - 1.5 hour workshop in which attendees will:
- look at archival material on the effect of droughts in the past on domestic consumers (primarily the drought of 1976),
- learn about early twentieth century experiences of water scarcity and unreliable water supplies in the UK,
- and reflect on personal experiences of drought,
We will then incorporate this material into a creative discussion of what we can all do to save water.
