The story Charles Dickens might have written after too much gin…

Follow half-orphan Pip and his friends as they battle evil guardians, hideous siblings, and disaster at every turn! Will virtue triumph? Will love conquer all?

Mark Evans' Bleak Expectations (performed by Richmond Amateur Dramatic Society) is a gloriously daft Dickensian romp, packed with villains, ridiculous names, wild plot twists, romance, death scenes, and hopefully a happy ending.

Based on the hit BBC Radio 4 series, the play premiered at The Watermill Theatre in 2022 and transferred to London's West End in 2023.

A chaotic, laugh-out-loud caper that will leave audiences begging for more!

Two painters and one ceramicist join forces to show you their response to the natural world

The three artists in this exhibition are inspired by nature. Liz draws inspiration from woodlands, landscapes and gardens around her rural studio, Gill loves the use of colour and texture of flora and fauna giving her work a vivid joyful feel and Fiona's ceramics are imaginatively inspired by butterfly forms and depicting man's impact on the natural world.

Gill, Fiona and Liz work in different media, yet their work is connected through a love of nature and their environment, and the challenge of how they can create original, unique pieces that represent the beauty they see around them.
