An exhibition by two artists all inspired by the land, sea and sky

This exhibition is by two Yorkshire artists who have shown their work at Harlow Carr and are both inspired by the landscape in very different ways.

Clare is a mixed media artist who uses acrylics painted with palette knives and other tools. Clare will be showing some of her new pieces of pottery birds and animals. Ailsa is a seascape artist who find the different moods of the sea captivating.

An exhibition of textured impressionist oil paintings inspired by the beauty and varied landscapes of Yorkshire.

Emma paints bright, bold, colourful textured oil paintings of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside often featuring some of its historic landmarks. She paints only with a palette knife directly onto wooden canvas.

A collection of watercolour paintings inspired by the Dales scenery and its flora and fauna from artist Rachel McNaughton.

Rachel's watercolour paintings capture the life and countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. Sheep, farms, cottages and wildlife all feature in her watercolour paintings which are rich in colour and detail. The collection will include framed and unframed original art and prints.

This session is designed to help you slow down, experiment, and gently challenge your usual image-making habits. Working with a variety of papers, colours, pens, and pencils, Lynn will guide you through playful techniques to help you create your own unique piece of artwork.

Set in the beautiful Normanby Room at The Green Howards Museum, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore creativity, whether you're an experienced artist or simply curious to try something new.
