Our speaker, Mike Evershed, has been an enthusiastic amateur astronomer for more than 50 years. A science graduate with a career spanning computers and finance, Mike now organises the Reeth Informal Astronomy Group, bringing together skywatchers from across the Northern Dales. He has contributed to numerous local astronomy events, including previous Dark Skies Festival and Swaledale Festival activities, and helped collect data that supported the Yorkshire Dal
